2019 VIN DE CALIFORNIA CENTRAL COAST PINOT NOIR, CALIFORNIA. 100% Pinot Noir. (Organic / Natural)
This is 100% Pinot Noir, grown organically at the Bassi Vineyard in Avila Beach, 1.2 miles from the coast. Fermented in an open top wood foudre (basically a gigantic barrel) with native yeast and no additions, this went through natural malolactic fermentation and was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimum S02 was added. The result is a delightful, light and refreshing Pinot Noir, very pure with notes of strawberry and watermelon and a hint of spice. Food-friendly and delicious, even with a chill for summer.
