PIO CESARE VERMOUTH DI TORINO

PIO CESARE VERMOUTH DI TORINO16%ABV

Pio Cesare, founded in 1881 in Alba, is one of Piedmont’s most storied family-run wineries, known primarily for its classic Barolo and Barbaresco. Reviving a long-standing family tradition, the estate has reintroduced its historic Vermouth di Torino—a recipe that dates back to the early 20th century. Crafted from a base of Chardonnay and Moscato Bianco, it’s infused with 26 carefully selected botanicals including wormwood, gentian root, and orange zest. Aged in oak barrels and finished with a touch of burnt sugar, this vermouth reflects the same artisanal attention and heritage that define Pio Cesare’s wines. Once discontinued in the 1950s, it has now returned as a refined, small-batch offering rooted in the region’s aperitivo culture.
