Fragrant and fresh with delicate red fruit aromas and underlying minerality, this rose is as good in the glass as it is for the cause. The Western Monarch population is at risk of extinction due to widespread sytemic herbicide and pesticide use. Raen gives all proceeds from the sale of this wine to raise awareness and fight to save the population of Western Monarchs from collapse.

About: Raen was founded by Carlo and Dante Mondavi of Mondavi family fame. They are the sons of Tim Mondavi and grandsons of Robert Mondavi, both whom influenced them from a young age. Carlo and Dante’s father Tim was a pioneer for California Pinot Noir in the early 1970s and has always had a tremendous regard for the great wines of Burgundy. To this day his Pinot Noirs from the 1970s are showing incredibly well. Carlo and Dante credit their father’s passion for Pinot Noir as the early inspiration that got them excited at a young age.
Raen is focused on producing Pinot Noir in the extreme, cool-climate terroir of the Sonoma Coast. They are also commited to organic viticulture and environmental sustainability and are leading the charge in the movement for the wine industry to wake up and stop the widespread use of systemic herbicides and pesticides. 100% proceeds from purchased of their Monarch Challenge rose go to the Monarch Challenge, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and fighting the tragic decline of the Western Monarch due to toxic herbicide and pesticide use.
