2017 ELOUAN OREGON PINOT NOIR, OREGON. 100% Pinot Noir.

Made by fifth-generation winemaker Joe Wagner of Caymus, Belle Clos and Meiomi fame. Working with fruit from top coastal Oregon vineyard sources including Umpqua, Willamette and Rogue Valleys, this Pinor Noir was made in Joe's signature approachable, easy-drinking style. The name Elouan means “good light”, which is reflective of the typically cool summers, yet abundant sunshine found in this northern hemisphere winegrowing region. Aged for ten months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak, it offers a medley of ripe red berry aromas and flavors with notes of exotic spice and floral hints. It's weightier than your average Oregon Pinot, with hints of sweet tobacco creating rustic layers of flavor. A soft mouthfeel with silky texture and lip-smacking finish makes this a Pinot that begs for a second sip. Recommended with pork loin, pan-seared salmon, Peking duck or veal with a mushroom sauce.
