2018 FERME ROUGE "LA PETITE FERME ROUGE" ZAER VIN DE MAROC, MORROCCO. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Carignan, 10% Marsalan. (Organic)

Wine Enthusiast: "This deep ruby-colored wine has aromas of black currant and raspberry. It is well rounded on the palate, with flavors of black cherry, cranberry, chocolate and slate. Slow-growing tannins build into a lingering finish."

Organically farmed and hand-picked, this delightful red blend containts 10% Marselan, a crossing of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation occurred naturally in concrete tanks. All wines are vinified separately and aged in concrete tanks with a small portion of one year old Burgundian oak barrels before final blending. With aromas of red fruits accented by dried tea leaf and rose, this is a terrific red value from an fascinating corner of the wine world.

About: Set on a plateau 450 meters above the Atlantic east of Rabat, La Ferme Rouge (The Red Farm) produces wines in the heart of Morocco's Zaer region. When winemaker Jaques Poulain crafts his wine from the local red soil (Hamri) where old and new vines are grown harmoniously with nature, in a tempermate climate with strong oceanic influence.
