2016 HUIA "HUNKY DORY" MARLBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. (Certified Organic)

Hunky Dory is the second label of noted Marlborough producer Huia. Their Sauvignon Blanc from three vineyard sites, each that impart specific attributes to the wine. From the winery: "The Rapaura vineyard provides richly flavoured Sauvignon Blanc grapes that reveal a broad expression of tropical, passionfruit and guava characteristics. From the StrawLodge vineyard on the West Coast road where the fruit flavours are softer producing luscious lemon and lime acidity. And finally the Anderlane vineyard, that is located between the other two sites and brings the quintessential gooseberry and fine acidity of this area." The result is a juicy, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruit, lime and the varietal's signature gooseberry aromas and flavors. Clean, refreshing and with a long tangy finish, this represents a great value in Kiwi Sauv Blanc. It's delicious on its own and is recommended with salads, seafood (especially oysters ) and light risottos.
