2019 BECKMEN VINEYARDS SANTA YNEZ VALLEY SAUVIGNON BLANC, CALIFORNIA. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. (Organic/Biodynamic)
From Santa Ynez Valley (85% Purisima Mountain Vineyard, 15% Vogelzang vineyard). The Beckmen family established their Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley in 1994. On the western side of Ballard Canyon lies their acclaimed, 365 acre, certified Biodynamic Purisima Mountain Vineyard. Comprised mostly of clay and clay loam, with varying amounts of gravel, the most unique aspect of this site is the limestone subsoil. Fermented and aged for five months in stainless steel, this is crisp and fresh with aromas and flavors of citrus, peach, and grapefruit with lively acidity making it refreshing on its own or with light appetizers, salads, and fish.
