2015 AMANDINE MARCHISE (DOMAINE DE MALANDES) "CUVEE AMANDINE" 1ER CRU MONTMAINS, BURGUNDY, FRANCE. 100% Chardonnay.
The most northerly appellating in Burgundy, Chablis is famous for its chiseled wines with minerality and focus. The 2015 "Cuvee Amandine" is all 1er Cru from Montmains, one of the seven 1er Crus in Chablis given special designation for its excellent exposure and Kimmeridgian soil concentration. The wine was aged in a combination of stainless steel (80%) and the rest 1-5 year old French oak barrels. It shows its pedigree in an expressive nose of pineapple and citrus, well-concentrated palate with layers of depth, and classically Chablis mineral-driven finish.
