2020 COTO DE HAYAS "GARNACHA CENTENARIA" CAMPO DE BORJA, SPAIN. 100% Garnacha (Grenache)
This wine is made of very old (100+ year old) vines planted to the slate and red soils of Monte Alto and La Sarda in Campo de Borja, on the slopes of the Iberian Mountain range close to its highest peak, El Moncayo. These old vines have naturally low yields for incredible concentrated fruit. Hand-harvested and aged for four months in French oak, this shows ripe plum, cassis and blackberry with well-integrated oak and exotic spice accents. Delicious on its own or with many foods, especially barbecue. Top Value!
About: Although Aragonesas Bodegas was founded in 1984, the cultivation of the vines – particularly Garnacha – stems from 1145 and the Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Veruela, located a short distance from Fuendejalón and Magallón.
Our ancestors inherited this valuable and historic legacy and we, the following generations, have enriched it to reach its highest potential.
