MISSION WINES is a classic, hands-on, service-oriented wine shop. Based in South Pasadena, California, Mission Wines has been established as one of the LA area's most beloved neighborhood wine boutiques for over two decades. We are committed to exposing our customers to new and interesting wines that are outstanding examples of grape variety, place and style. We specialize in small production, hand crafted, artisan wines from around the world.

Proprietor Chris Meeske draws on multiple decades of experience as a sommelier in such world-renowned restaurants as Patina in Los Angeles, Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago and the Highlands Inn in Carmel California to establish a wine retail environment in which service and knowledge are paramount.

Whether it is recommending that great value $20 and under wine, finding that highly allocated wine or selecting the perfect wine to accompany a specific food pairing, Mission Wines can fulfill your needs.

In addition to fine wines, we offer seasonal wine tasting events, temperature-controlled wine storage, wine club, and corporate gift services. We look forward to serving you.

Eleven years later, his Mission Wines is one of the best-regarded stores in Greater L.A. 'I've tried to create a shop that's like a good restaurant wine list,' Meeske says. That means an interesting selection at a range of prices, from $15 Riojas to $40 Oregon Pinots to collector-worthy French Cabs. Mission's also known for its convivial daily tastings, where for $15 you get to sample three wines (five on Saturday)."
