"When a beer is bright pink, fuchsia, or violet colored, it’s worth taking a second look to admire its unique color. It poured a pink seafoam topper, and with any soured beer, died off fairly quick. Raspberry Blush’s berry sherbet hue was was just opaque enough to hide any bubble trails on the side of the glass. The aromatics to this beer were nothing short of amazing, and not like anything we’d ever experienced before. Some fruited Berliners smell off-puttingly sour, but this one delivered the natural berry fruit. At the end of each whiff, its gentle coffee ground notes blended themselves into the mix for some bitterness. On the palate, Raspberry Blush’s profiles matched up perfectly to the aromatics. Like we just said, it wasn’t too heavy handed with the tartness, allowing some of the fruit flavor to get involved. Raspberries can have a little earthiness to them... As its crisp effervescence kicked in, Raspberry Blush brought on more tartness. At its puckery peak, the coffee bitterness eased its way in, and took a bite out the sour. More tartness quietly washed back over for a lingering tart finish. It goes without saying that a Berliner Weiss is a thirst quenching beer, but the coffee addition not only gave an added pick-me-up, but made Raspberry Blush even more refreshing with an iced-coffee like finish."
