2016 QUINTA SARDONIA "SARDON" TEMPRANILLO CASTILLA Y LEON
Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeast in stainless steel, French oak and concrete egg. Located west of Ribera del Duero, and certified Organic and Biodynamic, Quinta Sardonia's Sardon is based on Tempranillo with 5% consisting of a blend of five grapes--Cabernet, Grenache, Syrah, Malbec and Albillo-to round it out. This delighful red displays bright fruit with good concentration and energy. Lots going on here!
About: Founded in 1998 by famed winemaker Peter Sisseck (former vineyard manager of Pingus) and located within the "Golden Mile" of the Duero River. EU Certified Organic and Demeter Certified Biodynamic. "Sardon" is a local plant known for its relaxinf properties.
