2015 QUINTA DE RORIZ "PRAZO DE RORIZ" DUORO, PORTUGAL. A blend of 33% Touriga Franca, 27% Touriga Nacional, 27% Tinta Barroca, 7% Tinta Roriz , 6% Tinta Amarela.

The Duoro Valley is a World Heritage site and one of the oldest established wine-producing regions in the world, with some of the most distinctive terroir on the planet. Prats & Symington own two prime Douro estates, Quinta de Roriz and Quinta de Pedriz; this comes from the Quinta de Roriz site, hand-picked and hand-sorted. Fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and French oak, this blend of traditional Portuguese varietals shows ripe red raspberry and cherry fruit with distinctive earthiness and peppery spice. It’s made in a style for drinking young, but with the potential for developing in bottle for several years. Delicious with barbecued meats and cheeses.
