California Bandol! From sustainably farmed loamy over hardpan soils (the area was once an ancient lake) this fermented whole-cluster, was foot-tread and pressed after 14 days. It's a gorgeus deep purple color with luscious dark fruit aromas and flavors, garrigue notes and terrific minerality. A great red for barbecue, roast meats and braises, pastas with tomato-based sauses, or a platter of aged cheese.
