From in the heart of Campania in southwest Italy. Greco is an ancient, light-skinned grape variety thought to have originated in Greece (hence the name ‘Greco’) but now grown throughout southern Italy. Sannio is a hilly area north of Naples with an ancient winemaking history; the area extends over the historical pre-Roman grape-growing region Samnium. Reference to the wines of the Samnite people can be found in the writings of Pliny, Cato and Horace. This traditional Campanian white is the product of careful selection in the vineyard with vinification and aging in stainless steel to preserve its natural fragrance. Enjoy this vibrant and textured white as an aperitif or with many seafood dishes or the Campanian specialty, fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese.
