The very best parcels from the hill go into this cuvee, which is always one of the best wines from the appellation, year in and year out. Firm, ripe tannins back up the voluptuous cheery fruit to make for a delicious wine that drinks well young, but will age with the best of Burgundy, displaying notes of leather and mushrooms with a few years in bottle.
