2014 SEVEN HILLS WALLA WALLA VALLEY RED BLEND

2014 SEVEN HILLS WALLA WALLA VALLEY RED BLEND, WASHINGTON STATE. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot.

Established in 1988 by the McClellan family, Seven Hills produces vineyard-designated and appellation-driven Bordeaux varietals from the Walla Walla Valley and Red Mountain regions of Washington State. This is their inaugural vintage of their Walla Walla Valley appellation cuvee, styled to showcase the best of the appellation and the vintage. Aged for 23 months in 35% new French, American and European oak barrels, this displays opulent fruit framed by firm tannins, thanks to a long, warm vintage in which the fruit ripened to perfection while maintaining sturdy phenolics and natuarally low yields. It leads with red and black fruit aromas accented by herbs, spice and fresh-roasted coffee A velvety palate is framed by fine-grained tannins with great balance and the structure to enjoy now through the next 3-5 years.
